Advice!?! Car accident; insurance trouble... more in answer.

    Okay, I was recently a passenger in a car accident that occurred at a 4-way stop. We were already halfway through the intersection when a car made the stop and then just proceeded to hit us. Immediately woman claimed it was her fault, saying she didn't see us at all, saying she'd pay upto 2000 out of pocket. A police report wasn't made by the driver. Now she told her ins. it was our fault because she had the right of way because she was on the right of us. Geico insurance says they won't pay unless we sue and win. Insurance company hasn't even talked to the passenger, me, to get any details and they are refusing to do an investigation and look at the vehicles. Our insurance only had a liability policy on this vehicle... OOkay, any advice on how to go about this without going to court. Thanks a lot, guys!
