A squirrel is eating Angel Trumpet leaves from a tree in our yard. Aren't they toxic? Will this kill the squirrel?

Thank you:-) I did try that on a wooden bird feeder that they were chewing and placing hot peppers in the seed and it worked for awhile.

It seems somewhat cruel, but hopefully it doesn't kill them or anything.
Or you might have the same thing as with one of my dogs, she keeps chewing on the ropes of tressels under a table, so we sprayed the ropes with this 'anti-dog' spray, apparently it's bitter and dogs don't like it, she loves the taste.
