Yeah, holding back can be hurtful -- like the person who knows they love someone but can't seem to express it, so they end losing their loved one or when something is bothering a person and they let it stew instead of talking about it -- it just gets bigger and bigger until a molehill becomes a mountain. It can be hard to hit a middle ground. Relationships would be easier if emotions were easier to deal with, I suppose. :)
