Why do guys get sympathy pains when they hear about someone getting kicked in the testicles?

    If you've ever been kicked in the testicles you would not need to answer that question. Simply put, IT HURTS and almost every guy at one time or another has had something or someone bump him in the testicles----The pain is excruciating. A man's testicles are delicate organs. They do not stand up to a repeated abuse--even dental pain does not compare to the pain of hurt testicles---really hurt testicles... you lose your ability to focus on everything but the pain...


    It seem that because their "members" are external, men are more protective of their genitalia as opposed to women being protective of theirs. On a personal note having been kicked there when I was in grade school, by a little punk wearing steel tipped boots I have memories of being on the ground for almost 40 minutes writhing in pain---just the thought makes me wince, and I would think most of the men reading this last paragraph are getting sympathy pains as well. I mean I had an abcess tooth develop last week and while that pain was terrible, it still doesn't compare to the memory I have of a spring day in 1978

    UPDATE AS OF 3/24/06: Being kicked in the testicles doesn't necessarially hurt the most in the broad scheme of things...I learned a painful lesson Wednesday night---DO NOT PLAY WITH A CAT WHEN WEARING ONLY BOXER SHORTS, and if you are male and feel the need to do so DO NOT HOLD ANY CAT TOYS YOU WERE PLAYING WITH IN YOUR LAP--Claws can get caught in your "tender" skin, and pull.....Ironically the song GAME OF LOVE (Wayne Fontanna and mind beners) is playing as I'm typing this
