Help answer this question below.

Do you immediately go to heaven or hell when you die, or just "sleep" until Jesus comes back?

    Even though the body is in the ground, the Scriptures are pretty clear that the spirit is already in the next world, either for comfort or torment. I Corinthians 5:6-8, Luke 16, Luke 23:43

    Later, at the resurrection, body and spirit are reunited for eternity, either for punishment or reward. Revelation 20-21

    • Something wrong here; 1st. Corinthians 15:50 "Flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom...." I read Revelation 20-21. Could not find where it sait that the body and spirit are reunited.

    • Our flesh body goes back to dust. We will be in our spirit body, glorified body, incorruptable body, celesterial body whichever term you prefer they are all used in the Bible. But it is not flesh.
