Help answer this question below.

In chess if someone moves there queen and calls check but has not removed their hand from their queen when they discover that moving there will put there queen at risk can they change their mind and move to another spot even though they called check

    Until they take their hand off the piece the move is not "set". Therefore they can move the queen to a different square. Saying check is irrelevant. They do of course still have to move the queen - provided they can do a legal move with it.
