What are the chances of a woman becoming pregnant if she has had her tubes tied?

    The chances of getting pregnant are extremely low. With that being said, I know a woman who got pregnant on her honeymoon. She didn't want any more kids for a while so she went on the pill and got pregnant with twins. After the twins, she had a house full of kids and decided on tubal ligation. About 8 years later she became pregnant with a healthy bouncing baby boy. I realize this senario is very rare, however, it demonstrates that, for some people, only a hystorectamy will prevent pregnancy. For this lady, I wouldn't be suprised if she got pregnant WITHOUT a uterus. :o)
