I used to feel that way when I was trying to lose weight, but I almost feel like that is something we put into our own heads but once I started to learn more about food and my body I started to lose weight.
It should be more a way of life than a diet.
you should have plenty of whole grains to keep you feeling full but enough good fats to keep you satisfied (such as monounsaturated fat)
eat fruit and veggies
eat only lean meats
you should drink plenty of water.
make sure you eat enough throughout the day.
ALWAYS stay away from processed food such as white bread, white pasta etc. all they do is bring your sugar levels up fast causing you to crave later.
workout at least 2-3 times a week.
