well, it depends on you will be using the program for. my boyfriend has been a professional photographer for almost 25 years and does a lot of graphic design work. he uses adobe photoshop. ive seen what he can do with it ~ and its just absolutely amazing. but expensive. if you dont need really sophisticated software, go with the freeware. that should probably do ya just fine for most intents & purposes.

You're reading Between (photoshop), (paint.net) and (GIMP) which one of these would you recommend i get? i know PSCS3 is a popular graphic program, but carries a hefty price tag. but the other 2 are free. what do you think?

i know of photoshop for on sale now at circuit city..reg 99.99 now 49.99..but alas, thats over the predicted spending limit of 35.95 on my credit card..oh well..paint.net is all i have

well i think paint.net is cool. you might be able to find hotoshop cheap on ebay?? just a thought.
