Even random events can have a meaning. There is no conflict there.

statistically speaking, human life cannot be a "random event", we must come from someone.

Exactly what I was going to say- why would life necessarily have a "meaning"?
by lady fuschia on September 12th, 2006
It is really funny when somebody calls something stupid and then mistypes answer. Lol. The only thing funnier would be saying "that's a really stooped answer."

... also the most depressing answer to this question.
by SaulofNazareth on May 29th, 2009
doesn't matter as long as it's true. And anyways, we don't tie our lifes with the fate of the whole universe, for us alone, life is everything and has personal meaning.

Stop bouncing between two extremes and stop ignoring the existence of a 'paradox'.
by SaulofNazareth on May 30th, 2009
There really is no paradox. Why should I care whether, seen from a perspective of the whole universe, my life has meaning or not? Or even whether the universe itself has meaning or not.
As a matter of fact, I am alive, and my thoughts and feelings are all that I have. It's a priviledge to be alive, out of all the trillions of possible combinations of DNA, it's you and me that have hit the jackpot of being born, and being alive at this particular moment. Okay, maybe one still shouldn't call this feeling of awe 'meaning', but the fact that life itself has no meaning is not necessarily depressing. I just want to have a great time.

If it is meaningful to you then I am happy.

when i was 18 of age that was the Q that came to me on its own, i never thought of God at that time, but He answer that Q for me. this is it, to believe in Him whom He has sent (Christ). Romans 10:20. seek the true meaning of life? (He will answer)
by abram.peters on January 30th, 2010
So he talked to you or what? Does it make sense to you now? I mean, I really don't see what God is supposed to explain. What's the purpose of God? Why is he there? Where did he come from? Never mind, if it works for you, that's good, just don't think that your comment had any impact on anyone who thinks differenty - there are no arguments and there's no evidence. Let's agree to disagree, and let's also be aware that the burden of proof rests on you.
