At the present time, it is not possible to legally own a .50 BMG in the UK. It does not fit any of the classifications of "sporting guns" that are permitted in the UK at this time.

Last year, there was a move in Parliment to modify some of the draconian gun laws throughout the UK, but there wasn't enough support from wither Labour or the Conservatives to get anything through. As such, you can't legally own one at this time and it isn't likely to change for the next few years.

    • Thats odd. Whilst reading through a gun-mart magazine (British), I saw myself a mighty Steyr rifle .50BMG for £1499.00. What would be the use of selling something illegal in a legal magazine?
