Yes, that would be a logical assumption based on Bible teachings. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:5 "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all" and later in verse 10 it says "there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She´ol, the place to which you are going." So the dead are concious of nothing, they do not think or work or do anything, so they can not haunt us or communicate with us, they are dead. That only leaves one possibility for those talking to us through spirit mediums and seances, hauntings or posessions, it is spirit creatures which never existed as men but were formed in heaven and cast out of heaven to the vicinity of the earth, or demons. (Rev 12:7-10)
(Ezekiel 18:4) . . ."The soul that is sinning—it itself will die."

    • I love Demons. They have been so cool to me as long as I am respectful towards them. I don't believe anything the bible says about them.

    • You forget (1 Samuel 28:12) that Samuel (who was dead) appeared to Saul, and the woman diviner who "called him up" was so startled "she cried with a loud voice" because this was beyond her normal experience, it was Samuel, not just some unknown apparition. And the woman said to Samuel, "I saw gods ascending out of the earth", and Samuel then said to Saul, "Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up?". Remember too, Jesus said "ye are gods" (JOhn 10:34). And Isaiah 26:19 "Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead". And many such like verses.
