Help answer this question below.

I am 17 years old and I usually ejaculate within the first 3 minutes when watching a pornographic video. Does this count as rapid ejaculation? Is it normal to ejaculate that fast?

    It certainly is quick! Don't worry, 3 minutes is still perfectly normal for a guy your age. What you have to remember is that when you're on your own it doesn't matter how quickly you ejaculate but when you're with a partner 3 minutes will be somewhat underwhelming!

    I think that masturbation shouldn't just be seen as a quick way to relieve sexual tension, especially at your age. You should use it as a training session for the day when you have intercourse. Not only that, the longer you can go without ejaculating the more pleasure you will get out of it.

    You need to start holding back. Get to know the feeling of being close to orgasm. When you feel like you're about to ejaculate stop or slow down. Keep moving slowly until the feeling of being close goes away. You'll find you're able to build up to orgasm again. Keep doing this and you'll quickly learn the point at which you know you have to stop.

    After a while you could start to vary your hand speed so that you're always slightly on the edge without actually going too far. It doesn't sound like much fun but trust me it is! You'll feel better about yourself, you'll enjoy the experience much more and you'll learn that the longer you go the more intense your orgasm will be. And don't forget that your partner will appreciate the time you took to practice!

    That's the most important thing. Don't just see masturbation as a quick relief, see it as training to have sex!
