Were you self-conscious as a child? If so, how did this effect your relationships and activities?

    Not until I was about six years old, and then I became very self-conscious. That, plus being sent to an all-male boarding school meant I found it difficult to know how to interact with girls, and even though I chose a hobby (magic) that meant I would occasionally be in the spotlight, I never really felt like it was where I wanted to be.
