Why can't people "support" Obama as our new President ,happy or not that he won & stop talking about what a rotten job he will do or what will happen to him in office. We are Americans..why can't we support him. He MIGHT actually bring REAL change. !!

Some folks are sore losers. Some people can't deal with change. And, as it seems pretty obvious and yet sad in this day and age, some people are still very bigoted. I find it shameful. I don't vote based on gender, race or religion. I vote based on political views and character. I do applaud McCain for his gracious concession speech. I did find it sad that so many of his supporters booed as he offered his congratulations and support. Why can't they follow McCain's lead?

    • TY. I agree. I didn't hear McCain's speech but I hear it was wonderful. You would think in the yr 2009 that bigotry and racism would be gone but for some reason, people still think that blacks are incompetant and can't run the country. I don't get it. If McCain had won, they would have thought it sad had the democrats not supported him so why can't they believe in him. I will laugh in 4 years when they look back and say "dang, he really did make a difference."

    • Unfortunately, some folks never learn. And then they have kids, and raise them as they were raised....hating anyone who is "different" and being taught that different is "bad." It's a vicious cycle that never seems to be completely broken. Sure, I wasn't happy the last two elections. But, instead of hating and booing and pointing fingers, I kept my hopes up and kept voting for change. And when enough of us get fed up and do the same, we can make a difference!

    • You insist on injecting race into the argument. I reject Obama because he's a LEFTIST WACKO. But don't believe me. Wait and see for yourselves.

    • I'm not the one who "insists" on it. I've come across too many people in my personal life, and here on AB who have. And all through the campaign, constantly saw it in the news. Not to mention those who made an issue of gender (in regards to Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin). I vote based on the issues, not because of race or gender. We obviously don't agree on political views.

    • Hey, 'cat'. Haven't you followed the money trail of Obama's "bailouts". Between his taking orders from the Rockefeller/Rothschild and their Council on Foreign Relations agenda to undermine our economy through the inflation/dollar shrinking economic policies of Bernanke flooding it with more and more worthless dollars - to bring this nation to it's knees (to be ingested by their "NEW WORLD ORDER") - and the ignorance of the public in general ... we're headed for the consolidation of Canada, U.S. and Mexico into their "North American Union" ... and, subsequently, submissive to their Global Government and banking system WHICH THEY WILL THEN CONTROL.
That's the 'key' word: CONTROL !!! They have all the money and all else they could need. The only thing they lack, to date, is TOTAL, UNEQUIVICABLE GLOBAL "CONTROL".
