Recently iv been told that not brushing your hair causes it to fall out because of build up of dead hair means new hair cant grow. how true is this? im a 19 year old male with long hair and i never brush it.

    It's not true.

    The old hair will fall out and it may get matted and gross tangled in with the other hair but it isn't going to make it all fall out.

    Now it may cause baldness due to a significant other creeping in, in the dead of night, to take clippers to your dreads...but that's another story.
