What is your single most memorable movie scene? Why?

    When I was a kid, my parents took me to the movies to see 'Gone With The Wind'. I can't remember how old I was, but I was disturbed by a lot of what I saw on the screen, particularly one scene where a surgeon is working in a makeshift battlefield hospital and he is about to amputate a soldier's leg, and the 'patient' is being held down by assistants and he's yelling "Dont chop! Don't chop!" The mere thought of it still gives me the creeps.
