I am dating a Mormon and have been attending services but I am not Mormon. I am very interested in their beliefs and ask questions, but when the missionaries ask if we can meet and talk I never follow up. I don't know what to expect. What should i do?

Is there any way I can be given the information from the"discussions" without having to actually talk to anyone until I am ready to? The thought of actually having to meet with anyone at the moment absolutely terrifies me.

You're reading How can I better understand the Mormon religion in order to decide whether to convert to it in order to be able to be with my Mormon boyfriend?

Agreed. I once dated a Latter-day Saint girl and I did eventually wind up joining the Church, but the missionaries were very careful to make sure I wasn’t just joining the Church for her. If I had, I’m guessing I would have left the Church, once she broke up with me; as it was, my faith had an appropriate basis and I continued to serve in the Church, both locally and as a missionary to Spain. (As an aside, my mission changed me so much that after three years apart, the aforementioned girl gave me another chance and we’re now married with two kids! :-) …but that’s still no reason to make such an important commitment as baptism.)
Good luck and God bless!
