Leading scientists in the area of biology and artificial intelligence say it will happen by 2030. I think that would be pretty cool. Think of all the cool things humans could do: Live much longer (or forever), learn and exchange information instantly, fly (possibly through space), explore the universe at the speed of light, colonize other planets, etc.
