I'm here now. It's certainly been interesting. I've had some bad experiences with the Kuwaiti I'm sorry so say.
The women cut right in front of you in line. I've heard that is "Ladies First" here but I am one so I don't really get the cutting in line thing.
They litter like crazy and their streets are filthy. They throw trash out of cars, including glass bottles.
Big obesity problem.
They drive like maniacs and you often see terrible crashes. Hit and runs are common. There seems to be no traffic laws or at least none inforced unless you are a foreigner.
They seem to have more money than sense. But having said all those negative things, life here isn't bad if you can just ignore their bad behavior. There are huge malls if you like shopping, all the restaurants, especially coffee places, you could want and the Filipino and Indian workers are generally pleasant and gracious.
And I understand if you are living on base, it really isn't bad. Just hot and dusty.
