Why do mothers and daughters have such complex, love-hate relationships?

    heres my thoughts:
    mothers want their daughters to be just like them and daughters want to be nothing like their moms or the other wayaround
    and that causes alot of friction

    • Yep, you nailed it.
      I think women get alot of comfort when other women do what they do. So, a mother wants her daughter to do what she does because it supports the choices the mother has already made.
