It was on August 18-19 2006, in the midst of a 5 game sweep by the Yankees at Fenway Park... the Red Sox lost both halves of a doubleheader on the 18th, 12-4 and 14-11, and followed it with another loss on the 19th by a 13-5 scoreline. Pretty nasty, especially against such a huge rival.
They did improve the next day though... they only lost 8-5 ;)
