Help answer this question below.
I run multiple programs doing work and sometimes need to quickly do a web search to referance something or get detailed information, translations, E.T.C.
my main browser is Firefox but with the customizations needed for my work it is a little slow to open so i am looking for the "notepad" version of a web browser. something that only opens a web page and maybe a simple popup blocker, nothing else. the goal is a streamlined though breed Racing web browser, not an every day work horse. can you suggest something like this to me?
if you think of firefox, opera, safari and Internet Explorer as versions of Photoshop, I need the MS Paint Browser.
Did you know that Comodo Dragon is a fast Web Browser, even faster than Firefox & Google Chrome?

I found an installer(offline) for Google Chrome browser. Why doesn't Chrome just
have one as part of the application? The app worked fine.

Problem is security. No one wants to put out something that will get people calling up saying "You ruined my computer!"

don't mind a popup blocker , just slim down the "bells and wistles" seems everyone wants to make a browser that does everything including make your breakfast.

LOL
Yeah, I think the closest option would be FireFox without the add ons. But you're already using it with them. Sorry I couldn't be more help here.
