Help answer this question below.

If God had us born the way he wanted us, yet if pedophiles are born with the predisposition to, you know, be a pedophile, then Why would/does the all-knowing Almighty God allow it?

    You could take it one of many ways.

    1) God like pedophiles and WE are the ones that are wrong for hating them. Unlikely but possible.

    2) God is testing our tolerance and compassion. If so, then we seem to be failing miserably.

    3) You have a false understanding of the divine and God has nothing to do with it. Respectfully, I won't continue for fear of a theological argument of (dare I say) Biblical proportions.

    • 4) There is no creator god and people's sexual wiring is complex enough for things to go wrong sometimes.

    • Actually, that is what I was implying with #3. As an Agnostic, I personally believe that we cannot know the will of the divine, or whether the divine even exists.
      But as I said, arguing over whether there is a divine power, whether that divine power is God, and what God wants are all things that are better argued elsewhere.

    • Though I seriously doubt there is anything we would or could recognize as a divine power, I agree. I think it's funny as hell when the religious say we can't know the mind of god and then proceed to state what god would or wouldn't do. :-)
