Do dreams really mean anything?

    This is probably going to be a very vague answer that you weren't looking for, but I'll say that I think everything is relative and depends on the eye of the beholder. If you want to interpret your dreams to have some significance or meaning on you emotionally, personally, etc. then that feeling can give you meaning about things that you would not ordinarily have been able to have insight about otherwise. Some people may think their dreams to be meaningless only because they cannot make sense of it. Though I will say that more times than not, if you do dream about something it is because as a major component of your conscious [i.e. you think about it a lot consciously], it is natural to pervade your unconscious, through your dreams. I think scientists are far from completely understading how the subconscious and mind work, so there is no absolute answer to what dreams mean.
