You have the facility to change your comment and your rating, if you desire.

Simply click on a rating (eg. Useful, Somewhat Useful) and type a new comment into the box. Your new comment will appear under the answer in place of your old one.

You can of course change your rating if you wish. This is useful in certain situations, such as if you give a negative rating which motivates the user to improve their answer.

Edit: Ah, my mistake. It looks as though you can only change your comment if the user you are rating changes the text of their answer.

So what I said about changing a rating if a user improves their answer is still valid, but it looks as though you cannot edit ratings to correct typos if the original answer hasn't been changed.

    Sorry!

Edit: Thanks for clearing that up, I thought I was going mad!

    • mister_c - to be fair - your original answer was 100% correct when you replied. The rules changed after you'd posted.

    • As Jodie44 has said, the right answer changed shortly after you submitted yours - here's a good rating anyway.
