How is someone officially considered obese?

    For the average person, BMI works. But for people that are bodybuilders, they can have a 30, even if they're ripped to shreds. Also, for old people, it under-estimates it because they've lost a lot of muscle and it's been replaced with fat.

    Well a good bodybuilder is 175 lbs at 5'10, that's definately a high rating for the average person. It's commonly known that old people lose muscle as well, they're always more flabby so that's just common sense :) .
