You're reading The Glass Stegal act of 1933 was designed to protect us. Why did Clinton repeal it?

Uhm... *Clinton* didn't write the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, your elected Congress did. Clinton merely did not veto it. So, tar and feather the 1999 congress, if you're angry. Better yet, tar and feather the American citizens that voted in the House and the Senate.

Clinton had to choice to veto it and did not and he praised the repeal. It was the Glass Stegall act that was repealed under Clintons watch.

Uhm... the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act was the legislation that repeales the Glass Steagal act.
It's not the president's job to simply veto everything that crosses his desk. There are 712 members of congress, and enough of them thought the bill was good enough to pass.
