    Transmission of this problem is not related to sexual orientation. It is related to sexual activity. Gay or straight, if you engage in the activities that spread this, you will have an increased risk of getting it.

    • Although i agree with you, I have to say majority of the people with HIV are gay men. And HIV originated between an group of gay men. Look it up.

    • Jeeze... "majority" -- there were only 40,000 new positives in the USA all last year -- just over 1/2 were gay... that's vs 3 million plus positves around the world last year -- where most of the positives are among people in heterosexual relationships. Mr Speedy has this right: 50% of all people living with HIV are women. http://www.avert.org/worldstats.htm
