Which country in the world is generally regarded to have the most freedom?

    Now I live in Australia, but, I think that Australia is one of greatest counties in the world. Australia has a fairly mild population of 20,000,000 people living of a vast area. We have had persons from other countries migrate here for many years and I would say there is very little racal tension. The weather is good, and all this makes for an enjoyable place to live. Our laws are fair too. There are very few guns, so there is not a huge amount of violence, and every Australian has the right to voice their opinion on what issue they want. Our isolation from other countries is to our benefit too. I think it's well known that Australian are fairly "laid back" kind of people who would lend a hand of you where in a spot of bother. We have always been there to help out other countries in times of need, and although Australian troops are in Iraq at the moment, they are in a passive mode, being airport traffic controllers to the best of my knowledge. Australian rarely holds a grudge against others, nor do we dislike other countries. I think all that adds up to a great deal of freedom

    • There's a huge amount of censorship, though, and we don't have the freedom of speech and information laws the US has. Also, the police are extremely corrupt in certain parts of the country.
