It depends mostly on the individual, intelligence is broken up between language and numbers most people are either good at one or the other.

I personally am language orientated, and cannot make any sense of maths, however it is possible to bring your understanding of maths up to a suffient level to ensure that it doesn't become a blockade to your future.

The majority of people find maths difficult, but often with tutoring and one-on-one help, they can improve, I know I did anyway.

If I owe five people two apples each therfore I have 5 x -2 = -10 apples. While i accept there is validity in using a single negative sign as one of the numbers, ie the one where it represents actual things. Can you give me a real example where two negative numbers multiplied works?
