My son is bi-polar, and he honestly believes he is the only one who knows what's happening and everyone else has got it wrong. It is so obvious to us, his family, and his close friends that he has a major problem and needs help, but all he's getting is counselling with a psychologist once a fortnight. If there is a logical way to do something and a hard way to do it he takes the latter every time. He can't see that he just doesn't think like everybody else, he just assumes that everybody else is wrong!
