Should immigrants that are trying to obtain US citizenship be required to learn English?

    G'day Drublic,

    Thank you for your question.

    They should certainly be encouraged to learn English so that they can function as well as they can as citizens. However, I think that the most important thing in citizenship is their character.

    There have been many good citizens with poor English skills and many people with good English skills who have been poor citizens.
