Should the military accept overweight recruits?

    The body composition standards are less about performance than about $. Uncle Sam wants to spend as little on each soldier as possible. Overweight people have more health problems later in life and are more expensive in the long run. I do think they should get a chance though. Burn it off of them in boot camp and if they keep it off good on 'em. If they gain it back, thanks for trying.
