OK, it looks as if the light assembly is just a single large sealed beam headlight, but it's attatched to a special adjustment bracket. If it is, then one will have to pull the wiring plug off the back of the light, and then no doubt have to remove the nuts, bolts, or screws holding in that bracket, then, just pull the whole assembly out, bracket, light and all.

Once the assembly is out, then remove the headlight, and replace it with a new one back onto the bracket, and reverse the proceedure to put it back in. Now, some assemblies have the halogen lightbulbs placed into the headlight itself, if this is the case, then just twist the coller holding the bulb in, as if unscrewing a bottle. Remember this now when replacing the new one, if this is a halogen insert style of headlight, DO NOT touch the glass bulb with your fingers, use the base of it to hold and insert it. The for reason is, that a halogen bulb burns extremely hot, and the oils from your skin will cause the bulbe to overheat, and just blow again in a short peroid of time.

In either case, the bulbs either sealed beam or halogen, are standardized, so all one needs is to go to any auto store, or walmart and pick it up. Remember though, if a sealed beam, you need to pick up the large square one, not the smaller rectangled ones for dual front beams.

If you are unsure, I've enclosed below the part number, and an image for you, but unless one has been in an accident and damaged the assembly, you should only need to replace the headlight itself.

I hope this helps ya. Be well, and Peace!

    • How do we access the back of the headlight assembly?
I have the aerodynamic headlights on a 1996 that you replace just the bulbs. I can hardly see the wire going into the back, forget about getting my hand in there at all. Even on the passenger side if I remove the battery. On newer model they figured out they needed to install a quick release but the older ones I can't see how to simply remove the headlight assembly to get to all the bulbs ont he back.
