What happens to the energy in light when it hits a polarizing filter? Is it absorbed and become heat or is it reradiated as IR?

I found this quote from Dr. T. N. Tahmisian who worked at Atomic Energy:
"Scientists who go about teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great conmen, and the story they are telling maybe the greatest hoax ever. In explaining evolution we do not have one iota of fact."
Evolution is that we are supposed to get better. Why are we still getting sick? Why do we die? Scientists say that we had a tail but we longer have it because we didn't need it. I don't know about you but a tail would be very useful.
