Help answer this question below.

My 17 year old son was arrested last night for possession of 1.5 grams of marijuana. He has a court date end of month. Is there anything he can do to do show judge he is taking this seriously to avoid a criminial conviction?

    Thats a very petty charge. He will have to show up to court. Thats a biggie. Then he will most likely have a few months probation, and maybe some community hours. A few fines, and he will have to take drug tests most likely. Of course, these laws vary from place to place, but, basically, unless he screws it up , he shouldnt be spending any time in jail.
