Technically yes, most peanut allergy sufferers can eat other nuts. In practice most don't, and its not a good idea, as peanuts are often packaged and processed in the same factories that package and process other nuts. The chance of peanut traces being found in other nut varieties (particularly snack nuts, such as salted cashews) is fairly high, and for this reason many peanut allergy sufferers will avoid all nuts and nut products.
