My nephew Peter wet the bed almost every night. This continued into his teens. He was a very heavy sleeper and at times would wet more than once. I am very pleased to say that he choose to stay at my house many times. At first his parents thought I might not want to tackle this issue. I did a couple of things. I didn't make a big deal out of the whole thing. I brought bunk beds and set them up side by side in Pete's bedroom. Within a very short time Pete felt okay with me seeing that he had wet the bed. I often offered to help him if he wanted me to. All this didn't stop him from wetting the bed, but I'm sure it took any stress away. He enjoyed staying over and I think that was all that mattered. He has now grown out of wetting.

    • i totally agree with making it stress free for the child. if you make them feel bad about it only prolongs the problem and cuts their self esteem
