There's no easy way to say this, but you've probably wasted a good part of your life with this jerk. It is tempting to always try to find answers and reasons for things that occur, whatever they may be. I have learned through my life that some things don't have logical reasons - and some people that live on this earth with us are just losers - their actions may not be based on logic or necessarily have any reason behind them.

In answer to your question - this guy is scum. Don't try to find a reason if there isn't one - you may think you've found a reason but you may have it totally wrong (i.e. you might try and blame yourself even though it's not your fault). Hope this helps, all the best with the rest of your life...
