That all depends on the man but in my own experience men do like to be in control and are sometimes intimidated by women with strong characters who know what they want.

You are right, there are a lot of men out there intimidated by women with strong characters.
One man I dated for 2 years used to get upset at me for fixing everything around the house. Then I had knee surgery. It was like he was reborn because he did everything for me! He was so sweet. I learned my lesson to not be so stubbornly self-sufficient.
