Would you consider someone to be inspirational if they inspired you to be nothing like them?

I would... my dad was an drug addict and alcoholic, and as a small kid I vowed to myself to never become anything like him, and especially the way he treated my mom. I consider him an inspiration for me to be a better person, I also saw him overcome all of this after he became a christian. But he still inspired me before that.
