Question

Help answer this question below.

I'm about a week away from my period but last week I had a brownish color spotting that only came out when I wiped and there hasn't been anything since. Is that a sign of implantation of the egg in the uterus?

Brownish spotting is not a likely sign of implantation of the egg. Brownish spotting or "breakthrough" bleeding is fairly normal even when on the pill, especially if you are new to the pill. As with anything though, the pill is not 100% and does not protect against STDs. Condoms are good, abstinence is better.
