Question

Help answer this question below.

I have been a permanent resident in the U.S. since 1987. I committed 2 misdemeanors for shoplifting in 1989 and 1991. They have since been expunged from my record and it has been clean since. Will this have any consequence for my getting citizenship?

No it will not. Even if you didn't have them expunged, they would have just ordered you to do so but misdemeanors will not have any impact on you getting your citizenship.
