How does having a Catholic marriage anulled (for legitimate reason) affect the children of that marriage as far as legitimacy is concerned?

    In no way at all. Some people try to allege that the chidren are no longer legitimate but that is wrong since the civil marriage legitmizes them and the Catholic Church recognizes that legitimacy
