After the initial developmental stage, your IQ stays the same for the rest of your life. After 5th grade, you're as smart as you'll ever be. That doesn't mean that you can't gain KNOWLEDGE...you just can't become more intelligent.

    • In 5th grade I didn't have the knowledge to do well on the IQ exam. At 22 years of age I scored 30 points higher. Through gained knowledge my IQ improved.

    • sorry... IQ tests don't measure knowledge, they measure ability. You may have scored better but it wasn't because you gained knowledge, some other factor changed.

    • What if a persons "development stage" is different? Could this be a factor?

    • Neurons are said to multiply in brains until there early 20's. This was proven by weight samples on multiple subjects. Puberty does not correlate to the neuron growth.

    • Hmmm...very interesting...you scored 30 points higher? Starting from where exactly? Curious minds are very interested in such things.
