Several:
1. Take only as much as you can afford to lose. Leave all additional sources of ready cash at home.
2. Avoid the slots. Most of them are sucker bets unless you just want a bit of entertainment. If you want to actually win something from time to time, stick with the table games.
3. Eat at the buffet. A lot of people bash them, but they're really the best value as far as food goes.
4. Remember to tip the cocktail waitress. $1 per drink is standard.
5. When playing table games, stick with the ones with the lowest house advantage. Baccarat, Blackjack and Spanish 21 are good choices.
6. Play ONLY your initial stake. Any winnings should go directly into your pocket, never back into the machine or onto the table.
7. When your initial stake is gone, whether you're up or down on the day, GO HOME.

blackjack has a very high house advantage. only 17% chance to beat the dealer. the less decks, however, the better your odds, but the higher the cost. just some info... I deal at night ;-}
