Have you heard anyone refer to gutters (for collecting water off a roof) as "eaves troughs?" The latter is the term I was taught to use.

You're reading I have an elusive mouse in my house. My cat hasn't caught it and our mouse traps aren't tasty enough (peanut butter and bacon grease). Any tips on how to kill it without using poisons?

The sticky paper is really cruel.
What's wrong with capture and release--more humane.

They are too smart to crawl into the little boxes for them, I tried the humane way very first thing. Then moved to snap mouse traps. I agree that sticky paper is a bit much. I might use poison first but then they can die in the wall and they stink up the house. Another suggestion was an electric thing that you plug into the wall that sends out a sound they dislike and they are supposed to leave. I'm looking into that one.

You will like that so much.
(Plus, you won't hear the sound--supposedly, neither will your cat.)
My cats are fine with it.
:D Good luck.
