How exactly does depression run in a family line? Wouldn't it just be a personal matter and not something passed on through your ancestry?

You're reading How do you handle paranoid people who think EVERYTHING you say or do is about and against them and their interests?

lol. what? i don't think wronging someone has anything to do w it. you could potentionally be concerned about retribution from just THINKING bad about someone. no negative action required. or you could just be paranoid because someone who is supposed to love you, say your own parents, act as if they do not? wouldn't that put you off society? if you're parents were awful to you? who can you trust if you can't trust mommy?

But see... It's quite possible that you told someone that at one time you THOUGHT they were a certain way, and then, after getting to know them, figured out they weren't. And THEY, being the paranoid people they are, then think that ANYTHING you say is about them or against their interests.
As for the child, even if mommy and daddy did them wrong, many have come out of it stronger, and less paranoid than many of THOSE out there, simply because they KNOW how to handle it. ;-)

@theevanross - I use caps for emphasis. "Ran with it" in what way. I explained.
BTW: Obscene language (consider the US Broadcast TV standards - NOT cable) is not allowed.
