The expression is "You can't go home again," and it means that you cannot go back and re-live your childhood, re-do your life and not make those mistakes, that it just doesn't happen that way. The novel "You Can't Go Home Again" by Thomas Wolfe is where I first heard the expression, but of course, it may be much older than that.
